Locally roasted and fresh ground South American beans. This beer meets the guidelines for a simple coffee ale. Yes, it is caffeinated. Featuring bold flavor but balanced with just the right amount of added cold press. Not too heavy and not for the faint of heart. Made with a lot of love.

This beer is now brewed with Highlander Grog coffee. Last year (2020) they brewed two batches, one with what they had been using and a new batch with Highlander Grog. They had a vote to determine what people liked more and the new version won. It's pretty damn delicious.

16 ounce Prowler bought at Liquor Shed.
Pours pitch black with just the lightest of red hues if you hold your glass right. Excellent head of foam.
Big coffee grounds bitter nose with dark chocolate that adds to the bitterness.
The flavour of coffee grounds is huge. Backed by more bitterness from dark chocolate, only a hint of any sweetness going on. Simple but delicious flavours.
Medium body with lightish carbonation.
Excellent coffee beer. Perhaps I should have saved it for breakfast. ;)
