On tap at River of Beers. Served in a snifter.
Appearance - Black body. Nice khaki head. Good retention. Kinda leggy.
Smell - Lots of chocolate and sweet caramel malts. Boozy. Not much smoke.
Taste - Smokier here. Dark chocolate. Very sweet. Tastes a little astringent, like this is Oakes.
Mouthfeel - Medium heavy. Medium carbonation.
Overall - Decent, but uninteresting compared to some of the other stellar beers at this event.
