Arrives nigh on black with a creamy, light tan head which recedes pretty quickly but leaves broken sheets of lace behind.
Smell is toasted malt, chocolate, caramel, vanilla and some ash. Balance is good.
Taste is more of the same: roasted/toasted malt, chocolate, caramel. Really good balance.
Medium full body, light effervescence, with a nice, lingering, smoothness.
