Pours a black color with a foamy white head that lasts quite a while. Aroma of chocolate milk. Tastes of sweet chocolate that finishes with a hint of hoppy bitterness.

Had this as part of a flight at Mellow Mushroom. Sipped it slowly and thoughtfully.
L - extremely dark and broody with a big head of white foam (nitro tap probably helped)
S - just like chocolate milk! That's it. Perfect.
T - bitter and sweet, like chocolate, obviously. Sweetness gives way to a slightly bitter taste that lingers long on the palate. It's quite pleasant and a bit complex, too. The finish is very dry.
F - this is the only fault I find with this brew. It feels thin. There is mild carbonation (in this case, nitro-nation?), which is not a bad attribute.
O - as a connoisseur of stouts, I really liked this one. Well balanced and easy to enjoy. Would definitely order again. Cheers!

Arrives nigh on black with very little light penetration. Nice tan head drops quickly, leaves a scattering of lace before it disappears completely.
Smell is toasty malt, chocolate, nut and faint vanilla.
Taste is toasted malts again but the other notes are just not here. More like a brown ale with more heavily roasted malts. A slight ashy note comes up in the aftertaste.
Body is light, think Guinness, with a restrained effervescence tingling the tip of the tongue. While there is nothing wrong with this brew, there is also nothing to recommend it either save as an introductory stout for the newly adventurous beer drinker.
