Arrives a clear brown not unlike a brown ale. Light tan head disappears rather quick.
Smell is all abut the roasted malt with caramel, nut and hops as support. Good balance.
Taste is almost toasty the roast is so heavy. Nutty, light hops and lighter caramel notes are also there.
Warming (for a 5.5 abv) was a bit surprising but welcome. Drying middle to dry finish. Not smooth but pretty drinkable.

Pours a dark brown color with ivory colored head. Caramel malt, caramel sweetness, and some other grains on the nose; follows onto the palate. Medium bodied. Finishes with plenty of grain and malt flavors.
