This brewery is about 90 miles from my home. A friend and I visited 1 Saturday. Just off the square in liberty. We LIKED this place! Windows opened to the outside letting sun and fresh air in. Food was tasty. The IPA and stout were top notch. We'd definitely go there again!

Stopped in here for lunch on the way out of KC for a growler fill and some grub.
Located in a historic 100+ year old building across from city hall, from the outside the place had a hip and inviting feel to it. The front windows were open, and once inside there were a few subtle architectural details that gave it a unique feel. Some partially exposed brick, salvaged wood, and cutaway growler lights glowing above the bar, with a few metal craft beer signs on the walls. Drafts were listed above the bar on flat screens, and there was a nice variety of guest taps. It had a cozy yet modern vibe. On a weekday for lunch there was a sizable crowd. Had a tasty margherita pizza.
The bartender was knowledgeable about the beers, and served us in a timely manner. She answered all of our beer questions well. The one big pet peeve is that they don't fully tighten caps on their growlers. This happened to me and my cousin on a separate occasion, which caused a leak and spill in her case. Hopefully they fix this in the future, otherwise no complaints here.
The beer. Mostly good. Some average brewpub standbys like cream ale, porter, and blonde ale that don't really do anyone any favors. They rotate some good seasonals like the Black Dog IPA and Mud & Muck Stout, and the Farmhouse Funk saison with Sorachi Ace was a pretty nice year-round. The Saminator "4IPA" was practically undrinkable though, very unbalanced and harsh, like 14% liquid aspirin. Extreme for extreme sake.
On the scores here... Why even bother "rating" a place, it's useless without context.
Pet peeve of mine, but I digress. Back to your regularly scheduled BA...
