(From freshly tapped keg)
The beer comes in a clear medium to deep amber color.
The aroma hits of huge intense sweetness, sugary, caramel, bubble gum, Juicy Fruit.
The beer rips on the palate with intense astringency, loads of skunky malt sweetness, and the beer just keeps on going with more and more astringency and cleaner like flavors. Oxidation takes over as well. This beer just envelops the palate, with the sweet caramel malts peaking up at points, but then it keeps attacking the palate.

1/2 growler filled at the Brewery
Pour: Darker amber, with a reddish hue, hazed. Moderate head, leaving a film and low sheeting
Sniff: moderate mostly malty sniff
Taste: I'm told this was brewed with "citra and amarillo" hops, but they are only minimally shining through. Perhaps a bit of citrus, but fairly muted. Malt is mostly what I'm experiencing.
Overall: Tasty and enjoyable enough. But, I'd be happier with this offering if it was advertised as an amber or pale ale or even a hoppy Oktoberfest beer. Pretty MEH...as an "IPA"
