A thick rich dark brew with a three fingered dark khaki head head that leaves tons of lacing and a fades at a slow clip. Its tight and dense, making for a a lovely presentation. Some syrupy cling as I sip lets me know that this is a big beer. Some light pepper in the back adds some bight. The covering on the beer remains as I drink.

Nose has lots of chocolate malt and coffee. Deep roasted grains and toffee the front. Some char and English ale yeast yields a mild fruitiness. Lots of dark bread and hint of molasses in the back. Hops are earthy and weighty but not overdone. Finish is clean-ish with a bit of peppery heat that coats the back of the throat and and some bready sweetness and light earth.

Taste is so good. Chocolate and coffee in the front. Not mocha as the chocolate is too rich for that. The coffee is a mild flourish as you swallow. So a thick chocolate malt front with dark bread and roasted grains. Cleanish yeast offers a light British ester. Lovely light pepper burn in the finish helps to platform the earth and herbal hop finish.

Feel is superb and silky. A brew that is unashamed of its weight. Medium heavy. Some glorious light syrup it glides over my tongue. Velvety carbonation that blooms into cream. Smooth and easy drinking.

Wonderful brew. Rich chocolaty character with a gourmet coffee finish that offers fuggles and spicy peppers in the finish. Very well done in a way that is easy drinking and rewardingly complex to the beer aficionado. This is delicious and beer fun to lovingly sip and deconstruct. After some initial launch issues, Broken Bow is showing itself to be a brewery of finesse and ability, my experience has been quite positive and I look forward to my next encounter.
