Brewed in the style of a German Pilsner this beer features a lighter mouthfeel with bready malty notes upfront and a crisp bitter finish. A great beer after a hard day's work.

Decanted from a 16 oz (473 ml) can into a Broken Bow Brewery nonic glass; no packaging information.
A: Pours a rather hazy, dark golden color, with a two finger, foamy, white head, at least a finger of retention, and complex, foamy lacing.
S: Light aromas of grasses and grains. Peppery.
T: Dry. Flavors of bread crust, cracker, and pepper. Significant bitterness, well above expectations for a Pilsner; a bit much, honestly.
M: Light to medium bodied with solid carbonation.
O: Clever name (Tyrranosaurus Rex on the label, get it). Unfortunately far to bitter.

Broken Bow Brewery "Small Arms Dealer"
16 fl. oz. can coded "BEST 05/27/21". Sampled on 04/02/21
$ 4 at the brewery on 22 March 2021

Notes via stream of consciousness: It's poured a very hazy deep gold/amber colored body beneath a short but creamy head of white that holds fairly well. The aroma delivers sweetish malt, yeasty fruitiness that's like apple and sweet red berries, and a light touch of grassiness. On to the taste... it's pretty much as the aroma suggests it will be, but fuller of course. The Pilsner malt is nice, the fruitiness a little much but pleasant, and it's solidly bitter with a dry finish and some lingering grassy and herbal hops. In the mouth it's medium bodied and crisp. This is a decent beer in and of itself but it doesn't quite cut it as a pilsner. Perhaps if it were a keller version.

A: The beer is hazy yellow in color. It poured with a finger high white head that left some lacing on the surface and the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of spicy hops are present in the nose along with notes of bready malts.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of bready hops along with notes of spicy hops and cloves. There is a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and mostly clean on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer has some interesting aromas and flavors of spicy yeast that in some aspects are reminiscent of a hefeweizen.
