From a 330ml bottle.
L: Only slightly hazy after a careful pour. Amber with a distinct red hue. Many streams of bubbles. One finger of creamy, off-white head. Looks inviting.
S: Smells a little sweet. Slightly dank hops are there up-front but they don't last.
T: Old world malt with new world hops, according to the label. Not particularly malty, however. And the hops are understated pine, verging on grassy. Bitterness is also mild. Nicely balanced, and in line with the style, but could do with considerably more oomph. On checking the brewery website, 4 of the 6 hop varieties are actually English and Slovenian, which explains the earthy/grassy flavours.
F: Almost watery but a short-lived, dry finish saves it.
O: Perfectly drinkable. Along the lines of a Brooklyn Lager but too bland to be good. Wish it tasted as good as it looks.
