Tasted from a 12 oz bottle bought at Beer Bazaar in Tel Aviv, Israel.
L - Straw color with a hint of green; hazy. White head disappeared quickly and swirling the glass didn't really bring it back. Light lacing on the glass.
S - Strong cracked grain aroma, along with slightly bready yeast note, black pepper and grassy hops. All the aromas are appropriate for a tripel, but I find the yeast note to be a bit harsh compared to the best examples I've had from Belgium.
T - Flavors generally follow the aromas. The hops and strong grain dominate and the yeast shows as bread yeast and slight bubblegum. Finally, there is black pepper sharpness in the finish
F - Thin to medium body; moderate carbonation seems low for the style. Dry, crisp feel. Moderate hops bitterness tending to the high side, as is appropriate. Some alcohol presence, but not much, given the 10% ABV, and it is certainly not boozy.
O - This is a good tripel with most of the expected check-marks for the style. Lacking in carbonation and head retention and with a yeast nose that is not classic for the style, but these are minor suggestions to improve a solid and enjoyable beer.
