The Kolsch style of beer is easy-drinking and light in color. Light German malt character is accentuated with noble hops. A go-to beer for those seeking a casual drink.

like liquid cheerios, although not as dry, this is one of the more cereal based kolsch styles i have had, and not sure how traditional it really is. its clear and blonde and looks the part just fine, but it has a really heavy grainy nose, nothing delicate about it, and the flavor matches up with the smell. its fuller bodied too and pretty textured, not as clean and light and bright as the style usually comes in at, and ordinarily i would like the bigger beer, but its kind of off to me. the yeast tastes weird, like it was fermented a bit too warm, and there seems to be very little hops on it. for such a simple brew, this one is a bit of a mess to me. the mouthfeel is fine, nicely carbonated and pretty lively despite the bigger body, but it just doesnt taste anything like a kolsch. if you like a real cerealy beer, go for it, but those seeking a light german ale, this probably wont satiate you.
