Amber color. Aroma was a nice tropical hoppiness and the flavor was too but it also had a maltiness that I didn't much care for. Better than Electric Silk but not nearly as good as King Nalu Koa'e.

maybe my favorite of the beers i had at the brand spanking new declaration. their beers are all real virgin, still in need of much maturity and growing up, but this one was the most advanced i think as far as execution is concerned. big bold piney hops on the nose, and more of a clean citrus complexion in the flavor. i get a dextrose boost in the taste and feel though, which are slight negatives, but the beer is so fresh and the yeast does a pretty complete job on it that its really not much of a problem, unless i wanted to drink more than one of them. maybe some simcoe late addition, maybe centennial up front, tough to tell really, but its sort of in that family with its bitterness and finishing hops both. well carbonated and appropriately medium bodied. well made beer, probably the best yet from declaration, who with a brand new canning line is going to be the next beer on the shelf you never heard of, at this point likely crowding out something of superior quality, but that remains to be seen and i will stay positive until its a reality.
