dark brown in color, not quite black. thin, beige colored head. mild roast roast. taste is fairly balanced, but not as bold as I'd like. medium bodied.

This beer is quite good and a great depth of flavor.
Pours dark brown with a beige head.
Aromas of roast and cocoa are present. Hints of sweet vanilla and honey balance out the smell.
The taste was really good with roasted malts coffee and cocoa coming through well. The vanilla is very subtle and sweets the roasted aspect of the taste. On the finish the bourbon comes through and rounds everything out. Nice I like the way the bourbon doesn't overpower the beer but compliments. This was a most excellent beer.
