Picked up a 16 oz mason jar draft from the Craft Beer Hop Stop in Phoenix on 10-22-19 for $6.00. Consumed 10-22-19.
Beer poured a crimson red with an okay off white head that dissipated pretty quickly.
Nose has hints of grapefruit and pine.
Taste is classic red ipa, very large caramel malt baseline melds very nicely with grapefruit and pine for a nice balance. Finishes moderately bitter; 5/10 on my bitterness scale.
Mouthfeel is surprisingly light and comes off as refreshing.
Overall a nice strong red ale! I have always enjoyed the style and don't see it very often anymore.
