An American Robust Porter brewed with a plethora of roasty malts, combining deep notes of chocolate perfectly with the fruity notes of juicy, ripe raspberries. The deliciously rich assertive dark roast gently builds the chocolate flavor to deliver a robust yet smooth finish, with the slight sweetness of the raspberries shining through until the end.

Poured out a dark mahogany color, clear but opaque sitting in the glass; nice tan head, a little thin yet lasting; sudsy. A most incredible nose of fresh cut raspberry greets the senses; an very delicate note of dark grains. A beautifully balanced and complex taste; raspberry out front yet supported with a nicely rounded dark grain base; roasted grain; a bit of chocolate; little perceptible bitterness. Medium-heavy body; smooth and lightly velvety; excellent balance between the sweetness and dryness.
Raspberry flavor dominates the flavor but in a balanced way. The beer's robust porter heritage is unmistakably there. It has a smooth, rounded, and decidedly berry-like quality throughout, very balanced and extraordinarily delicious.
