Beechwood smoked malt adds a delicately sweet & smoky profile to this light lager grain bill. Hints of honey & vanilla add complexity to the ultimately clean & crisp lager finish that keeps this beer refreshing even with the added complexity.

Clear, golden color; bare amount of coarse carbonation; thin, white head. Initial smell of hand soap; a bit of light malt grain and the barest note of smokiness after the beer warmed in the glass a bit. No initial smoke flavor but it developed after a while; very low-key malt base. Medium bodied; smooth; velvety.
This is a rare dud beer from Manitou Beer Company. There is the initial odd, soapy smell (although there was bit of head, so I don't think there was any soap residue present) and very little smokey presence in the smell or taste. I detected nothing hinting at honey or vanilla. It did have a decent mouthfeel.
