Handsome clear brown-tinged amber with an abundance of foam and lacing in the tumbler. This is quite interesting. The rye shows up more in the aftertaste with an unusual bitterness. Some fruity notes, dark and bready. Warm and slightly sweet with a malty body. There is an odd citrus edge, and if MonkeyBread calls it grapefruit I can't disagree. From the 22 oz bottle, one of the few interesting beers at Whole Foods on Speedway.

500ml bottle into a glass. Nice rose, murky Orange color. Smell is tropical fruits, sweet, ripe, grapefruit, spicy rye. Taste is similar with the fruits really popping and the rye lending a supportive spice note. Finish is clean and not bitter. Liquid breakfast grapefruit with brown sugar in a glass. Excellent beer.
