Bottle poured into stout glass. Beautiful black body with only the slightest brown edge to it when held to the light. 1 1/2 inch cocoa-colored head that held up nicely. Difficult to place the smell, although it smells good. Possibly the Palo Santo wood that it is infused with? Very roasty, chocolate, pecan, coconut flavors all come through. Not as much bourbon as I expected (Label: WINTER SOLSTICE Bourbon Pecan Porter Pecans cooked in bourbon, toasted and infused with Palo Santo Wood). Solid beer though--truly enjoyable!
