Sparky's Brewing Company

Newish brewpub in small strip shopping just off the main drag. Straight bar perpendicular to the entrance on the left seats about 15 with some tables about the rest of the room and a small sidewalk patio out front. 24 beers on tap, nice variety. Friendly bartender. I did not try the food.

Little strip mall storefront, opens up into a much bigger space, new and polished. Long bar and table seating. 5 of their own taps, plus a good amount of regional beers and ciders. Quick friendly service. Food available. House taps were not great, sample first.

Another great Taproom on the Salem scene. This one is located at the back of a strip mall off Mission Street. Lovely place inside, superior décor and furniture. loads of room for groups. Dart boards. etc. Service was a little slow as I was just in for a pint and they had a few growlers to fill. But very pleasant servers. Great selection over 30 taps. Nice electronic tap board too. No food but no dount they can get a food cart to come around now and again, plus there is a sub shop near by. Good value my pint seemed fresh and well kept. Nice place will visit again.

Big space off Mission St. in a suburban-style plaza. The taproom offers a solid selection of taps, though usually not the best in town. Service is friendly and farily quick, but I'm not too sure how much beer knowledge the servers can drop on you, at least not the ones I've dealt with. Prices are reasonable. Digital Pour menus are always a nice touch. Worth visiting, especially after a round of disc golf around the corner at Cascades Gateway. Easy access from I-5.

Update 9/15 - I'm probably here once a week now, and I have a major gripe with this place. The last 3-4 times I've been in, they've had beers on their Digital Pour board that were not available, mostly because the kegs were blown. They do not change the kegs as soon as they blow, so more often than not, they have 28 taps available instead of 30. Yes, still a large selection, but the blown kegs are almost always the most popular and in-demand beers. And if they're not going to change the keg, why not just remove the beer from the Digital Pour menu? Well, as a bartender told me (with a considerable amount of 'tude), if they do it will "screw up their app."
