Serving: Can
Canned: Feb-5-2019 (Consumed: Feb-25)
A:
It pours a hazy pale straw with a scummy half-inch of airy white head. Poor retention; isolated spots of lacing. (3.5)
S:
Lemon-lime, unripe honeydew, herbal hops. (3.75)
T:
Crisp medicinal hop bitterness, grassy. (3.75)
M:
Very dry with active soda-like carbonation, medicinal finish. (3.5)
O:
Meh.
It is an acceptable IPA, But is lacking in what it is going for in terms of being "New Englandy". It isn't much to look at. The aroma has some light fruitiness from the hops. The flavor is quite bracing with an herbal bite and the fruitiness of the nose nowhere to be found. It is crisp and fizzy. Not bad, but not what it should be in terms of style. (3.5)
