On-tap at the brewery, on to the beer:
Half an inch of creamy head sits on top this almost black beer, which sits closer to its dark brown description. Head retention is okay, leaving almost no lacing around the glass. The aroma is soft, delicate, with vague roast and a sweetness that's airy and like cake. This is not the typical American porter, as this beer utilizes the yeast to get its overall flavor. It's sweet like angel's food cake, with vague fudge, a little astringent roasted malt. The sweet flavor, as I get used to it, becomes more pleasing the more I drink it. Despite a dark color, the beer is light bodied and makes a sessionable ale.
