Mundane hop profile - dirty citrus, stale floral notes. The malt backbone is English and uneven, bending towards biscuity and stale instead of emphasizing fresh pale malts. Too much crystal malt comes through, reducing the impact of the hops (which isn't much to begin with). Lacks depth of flavour and expressiveness. Odd bubblegum hits on the finish, which isn't great with the lingering hop bitterness.
An imbalanced IPA with poorly chosen hop varietals and an unsatisfying presence on the palate. Not one I'd buy again.

So, I will start by saying this is not an IPA. I had this beer from a bottle at the Cozy Grape in Montgomery, TX, so I am not even sure of the age of it. It pours a clear amber color with a large foamy head. It seems like the beer was very carbonated. Head retention and lacing are both excellent. It is malty, spicy and peppery in the aroma. The same holds true for the taste. It is bready as well. Medium bodied with mild carbonation.

Slightly hazy orange colored pour with a bubbly off-white head and lots of lacing. Earthy and hoppy aroma. Taste has a musty and earthy bitter flavor. Can also taste a bit of citrus rind. Moderate to high carbonation.

Hazy darkish amber with adequate foam and streaming bubbles when you jiggle the goblet. Musty and compost pail smell is the tip-off. Taste is gaaah! This is an eye-waterer. Bitter bilge with some spoiled fruit to boot. Very bitter aftertaste. Very weird. Otherwise quite attractive and pleasing carbonation. Just don't put it in your mouth. From the 12 oz bottle purchased at Ralph's supermarket.
