Had it again at LA beer Week. Aroma is great, Rye is blending better with age.

On tap at the LA Beer Week Kickoff Festival held at Exposition Park in Los Angeles, CA.
Pours a murky orange-brown with a foamy bone head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, caramel, toffee, citrus zest, bourbon, and wood aromas. Taste is much the same with toast, citrus zest, and herbal hop flavors on the finish. There is a medium amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is an above average beer that is decent, but the smell on this one is better to me.
Serving type: on tap.
