Can from Etre with a canned date of 12/18/2020 so not exactly fresh.
Lightly hazy dark gold in color with a thin bubbly white head.
Sweet bready maltiness dominates. Citrus earthy berry hop notes with just a hint of plastic phenol. Would have liked it fresher, but not bad.

Pours a clear, golden coloration with a medium, fluffy head and very slightly visible carbonation. Smells of biscuity malt and tropical/citrus notes of mango and grapefruit, as well as just a hint of pine. Taste is a great balance of biscuity, very slightly caramelly malt and tropical/citrus hops, being dominated by tangy mango and lighter, zesty grapefruit and tangerine as well as some herbal accents and a good dose of pine. Finishes with a medium/strong bitterness and some mango, grapefruit and pine lingering in tze aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
I've had a few single-hop Mosaic IPAs recently and it's such a fascinating, versatile variety, with all of them featuring similar notes, but the balance being quite different for all of them. This is by far the most bitter and resinous of the bunch, with the tropical/citrus notes not featuring quite as vibrantly but still leaving a good impression and being backed up by some herbal accents and a strong pine presence. Overall quite an enjoyable, a bit more old school, almost West Coast, IPA that shows off Mosaic's character nicely.
