Pours a hazy, deep golden amber coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of biscuity malt and tropical/citrus hops, with notes of mango, passion fruit and tangerine. Taste is a great balance between slightly sweet biscuity malt and juicy tropical/citrus hops, with the tropical side dominating with sweet and slightly acidic notes of mango, guava, passion fruit and lighter, somewhat zesty notes oftangerine and lime peel, as well as just a hint of pine and light dankness. Finishes with a light/medium bitterness and some dank, tropical/citrus notes lingering in the aftertaste. Soft mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
Quite an impressive Triple New England IPA without a hint of excessive sweetness or booziness, which is quite a feat for the ABV. Never in a million years would you guess that this weighs in at 10% in a blind tasting, dangerous stuff. At the same time, it also has a rather nice balance of biscuity malt, strong, juicy tropical hops and lighter, zesty citrus hops going on, making for an extremely enjoyable brew that drinks dangerously easily for its ABV.
