One of my favorites from TYHarbor. Poured a wonderful, dark amber color - a nice change from your boring ambers.
Flavors are of good caramel malt with an intriguing smoky sort of flavor. Slight bit of bitterness. Roasted flavor as well. I get bored very easily with ambers, but this one was unique. And quite enjoyable.
Highly recommended. One of the better ambers I have had - a thoroughly enjoyable brew.

Sampled on tap at the brewpub in Tokyo.
This ale poured a hazy, red-amber color with creamy, light tan foam that clung to the glass and left good lace. The smell was very nice: rich floral hops, citrus, malt, and a hint of caramel. The taste was a very good balance of floral hops and caramel malt with hints of oak. The mouthfeel was very smooth and clean, with medium body and moderate carbonation, and with a nice floral hop finish. This was a very drinkable ale, and I wish I could have more.
