Tennoz Mint Ale

While in theory this sounded like an odd herb to use for a beer, I was quite curious to taste this. Could they pull it off?

Unfortunately, no. The pour is nice looking, as was the case with all of TYHarbor's offerings. The smell, however, is overwhelmingly mint. This does not work well for beer. A touch of mint - yes, that could be nice. The taste, as expected, is also overwhelmed by the mint flavor. This mint is also on top of a pale ale sort of base, so the flavors just don't complement. I was reminded of mint toothpaste while drinking this - not a good sign.

I could see this working much better against a porter or stout base, but as is, I don't like it. Not recommended. At least this was a one-off, and was their only actual bad beer.
