The numbers tell the tail.
L - Looks right nothing lacking, nothing special. A tad hazed.
S - Mild is an understatement. No off aromas, but none of the citrus, pine, or other hallmarks of an IPA.
T - Just a miss. This is tasty, with modest bitterness, but closer to a Pail Ale from the 1980's.
F - Similar to the appearance, it hits the mark, but nothing remarkable.
O - As a beer with friends, after work this is a good beer. As an entry IPA, this is a strong candidate, but as an ambassador for the IPA style, we can do better.
TLBBC makes a solid beer, and maybe they are starting gently, trying to bring in the uninitiated to the rich world of flavorful beer. If you are one of those ranks, Hopchester is a good option for you.

On tap at Lost Bourough Brewing Co in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a slightly dark amber, with a half inch head, and a little bit of lacing.
This smells strangely stagnant, hops-wise, I get basically no hop aroma, with some caramel and toffee.
This is a really, really mild IPA, there's barely any interesting hop flavor here. There's some mild bitterness, and that's it. No citrus, no pine, nothing flora, nothing. They need to go back to the drawing board with this one. The malt flavor shines through, but it's the typical boring caramel overly sweet malt flavor. This doesn't feel like an IPA, at all.
This is lighter bodied, with a strangely syrupy, oily mouthfeel, and a too-low level of carbonation. It's not all that drinkable.
I'm not super impressed with this one.
