Poured a gorgeous rich brown cloudy body with reddish highlights and a finger of off-white head. Overall impression of appearance is of a fantastic wee heavy, very nice. Scents of strong caramel and a light smokiness with a touch of peat, some rich bready malt and hints of fruity esters. Overall impression of aroma is of a rich, malty, true to form wee heavy, fantastic. Flavor begins richly malty with caramel at the forefront, but rich bread also present and some light fruitiness. This continues through the middle. Finish is malty with heavy caramel mingling with dark fruit at light levels and some light smokiness. Aftertaste is sweet and malty. Warming alcohol is present at low levels throughout. Overall impression of flavor is of an amazing wee heavy, well executed and rich. Mouthfeel is full bodied and sticky with light carbonation. Overall impression of mouthfeel is of a nice wee heavy, true to style. Overall this is a fantastic wee heavy. It hits the style perfectly in all aspects and is extremely pleasant to drink.
