Served at cellar temperature from 500ml brown bottle into straight pint glass.
L ) Black opaque with a slight red tinge when held up to the light. No head, just a thin bubbly head.
S) Chocolate Ready Brek, raisins, ice cream wafers. No bourbon though.
T) Very nice roast malt burnt bitterness, overlain by sweeter hints of milk chocolate. Definitely no bourbon!
F) Lightish moutfeel for a stout as you may expect from the relatively low ABV, and low carbonation too. Very easy drinking.
O) Very decent stout at the lighter end of the spectrum. But no hint of bourbon whatsoever, don't buy this in the expectation of it tasting of bourbon, a bit of false advertising really.
