Served in a footed tulip glass, quick review from notes.
Dark brownish black body, thin ring of tan foam around the edges with flecks of lace.
Smells dull, faint roasted malt and lacto tartness.
Taste is similarly strange, watered down with roasted malt and some faint tartness. One dimensional and boring for an $8 glass. Watery and bland feel, unfinished and thin bodied. Not sure what an Oud Bruin tafelbier is supposed to be, honestly. A "small" Oud Bruin I guess, but it just comes off as underdeveloped and weak. The roastiness is out of place in an Oud Bruin, and overall it's really neither here nor there, Transient has been hit or miss so far.
