22 ounce bottle into a snifter. Brewed 4/24/16. What it says. Had 10/13/16.
Pours a dark brown, near black, opaque and thick looking, with a small head of darker foam and a little oily lacing. The smell is roasted malts, cocoa, vanilla, chocolate, a little anise when warm, some molasses and toffee . Really smells good. The taste also leads with roasted malts, then chocolate, cocoa, vanilla, caramel, a hint of lactose, a good amount of bitterness throughout. Smooth, somewhat creamy, mostly full bodied, well carbonated.
A well crafted and well balanced beer. Fairly straightforward, but lots of flavor and a great aroma. Well worth a purchase when it comes around again.

Pours out a gorgeous dark black. Good looking beer. Coconut, bitter dark chocolate, expresso and roasted malt. Super smooth. Bitterness balances out the sweetness. Dry finish making me come back for more. Medium mouthfeel. Good stuff.
