A 500ml bottle with no date that I purchased at the brewery around a month ago shortly after it was released. I'm pouring it in a Transient Teku style glass.
Look- Pours a lively dark red leaving two fat fingers of slightly pinkish foam. It lingers forever and I'm not surprised as the bottle gushed a little upon opening. A bit of lacing is left behind.
Smell- Tart berries to start, but I'm not solely detecting the blueberries. It's more of a fruit salad. Mild band aid and assorted funk along with earthy wood.
Taste- Tart berries that lean towards a mix of raspberry and blueberries. The blueberries start to pop a little more as you drink. Earthy and woody in the finish with the slightest hint of honey.
Feel- Light and fluffy with a pleasant effervescence on the tongue. A moderately tart and dry finish.
Overall- A tart fruit flavored beer that drinks much lighter than 7% abv. I had to slow myself down for the review! My only minor 'complaint' is that I hoped for a stronger blueberry profile instead of the somewhat tart fruit salad taste. Don't get me wrong, it was still very enjoyable and something I will drink again. A perfect beer for the warmer months.
