Perhaps I've come to associate rye with darker colors, but this beer is surprisingly light and bright in hue - although hazily opaque. Good head production and retention.
Aroma is an interesting blend of hops, malt, and rye. Grapefruit, mango, and lemon combine with pale grains and a touch of caramel, along with a slight hint of peppery rye.
Similar on the palate, with a fair amount of fruity, juicy hop expression blending with the malt and the rye addition in an intriguing fashion. Tasting notes include grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, mango, pineapple, oregano, honey, and cream.
Smooth and lively mouthfeel; pleasantly drinks "bigger" than the 6.5% ABV.
I would like a touch more rye, especially on the palate, for this beer to stand out, but it's a very tasty modern IPA regardless.

Another awesome brew by Transient! Very crisp IPA. Use of hops makes beer really refreshing. Yet, the beer has a deep flavor profile. If you are looking for an IPA that is balanced well between the crispness and flavor, this is one for you!

This beer has a monster two finger head with good retention. The beer is 45 degrees and served in a pint glass. The beer slowly dissipated and left lacing on the glass. The color of the beer is SRM 4 a pale gold color with a touch of amber. The head is bright white creamy, frothy, and airy. The clarity of the beer is reasonably clear the beer does have the cold haze. The appearance of the beer is beautiful.
The initial aromas in the beer are tropical fruits and pears. The next aromas I get are honey, biscuit, toasted notes, juicy oranges, and grass. The background aromas are herbal, floral, and lemons. The smells in the beer are faint and difficult to gather.
The initial flavors in the beer are juicy tropical fruits and oranges. The next flavors I get are cardboard, musty, grass, pears, herbal, floral, and malt like sweetness. The finish flavors are toasted malts, biscuit, yeasty, rye, lemons, pine, herbal, and resins.
The mouthfeel of the beer is dry, astringent, and fizzy.
The body of the beer is medium-light, medium-high carbonation, and a full finish.
The beer for me as an IPA is lacking character. It does have all the qualities of a New England IPA. The rye notes in the beer are not as strong as I would have liked. The malt backbone in the beer suffered from scoliosis. The harmony was a choir group on their third practice. The beer is good but I am not a fan.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a one pint can on August 23, 2018. A nice blend of citrus fruit flavors and subtle spice notes from the rye. Feel is medium in body. Recommended.

A - Pours a turbid orange with a two finger sturdy white head. The head leaves a heavy amount of soapy lacing.
S - Aroma is tangerine, mango, grapefruit and some light spicey rye.
T - The taste follows the aroma. Tangerine, mango, grapefruit and dank hops finishing with some light rye.
M - Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Creamy mouthfeel with a soft finish.
O - Another homerun from Transient. The flavors are a nice blend of juicy tropical fruits and dank hops. Great IPA.

Pour is a murky burnt orange with a couple of fingers of tan head. Aroma is a bit of spice from the rye and dank, juicy hops (love the Mosaic/Azzacca combo).
Taste is nice spice from the rye, which also gives the mouthfeel some bite in lieu of the pillowy feel so many of the NE-style IPA's have, and the Mosaic hops, which provide the citrusy punch I love.
Very nice offering from Transient.
