22 ounce bottle into a snifter. Had 12/28/18.
Pours an opaque dark brown, with a one inch foamy head and some foamy cling. Aromas of vanilla, chocolate, bourbon, cocoa, caramel, toffee, malt. The flavor follows along- vanilla, bourbon, chocolate, cocoa, caramel, malt, some oak, light molasses. Very smooth, fairly creamy- not all that typical for a BA, a great full body, well carbonated.
Wow! Very different and delicious bourbon barrels, very expressive aromas and flavors- where did all that vanilla come from? I guess from those amazing barrels. Wish I had a keg of this.

Better than BCBS vanilla this year. Now that I have your attention, let's dive in. Tar black and viscous body with some islands of dark brown bubbles. Feel is cool, with thick fudginess, warming booze and crazy smooth finish. Smell has a large vanilla note that is well balanced with bourbon, molasses, wood, cocoa, and malt. Taste features the same ingredients, with some bittersweet chocolate thrown in. Impressive stout, the wife loved it too

Absolutely amazing. Super fudgy and thick. Huge amounts of vanilla. Good amount of chocolate and the barrel is there, but not overpowering.
It drinks a tad hot, but it's not annoying or overwhelming in that sense.
I'd say this is probably one of my favorite stouts I've had. Very well done. Definitely one of best BA vanilla stouts I've had.
