Poured from a bottle (no date I could find) into a Belgian glass
L: apple juice gold color, very effervescent when pouring but died quickly once in the glass. Minimal white head that also died immediately, no lacing
S: very nice light funk, acidic. Great white wine aroma, plays well with the more mild acidic aspects
T: bit more acidic here, find out to be a stark contrast at first but growing on me a lot as I’ve slipped. A touch bitter but not off-putting, good amount of barrel. Medium finish, would appreciate some more depth but by no means bad
F: medium carbonation, definitely drying, somewhat thin but would figure appropriately
O: a solid sour that delivers some nice barrel notes. Chardonnay grapes add good flavor, like how restrained the nose is - taste a bit astringent by comparison, also somewhat one-dimensional
