16 ounce can, no date seen. Poured into tulip glass.
Pours a beet red, with a fizzy short lived head. Opaque body.
Aromas of raspberries and blackberries, lemon, lactic acid.
Taste follows. Unripe berry, lemon curd, blueberry skins, tannins, slight earthiness. Sweetness followed by a light tart bite.
For a Berliner with a light abv this one has a “thick” body. Thick is subjective here but has a nice feel.
Overall, big and juicy, slightly tart and tasty.

Pours a dark purple with some fine, pink head.

Smell is tart with notes of black currants, raspberries and blackberries.

Taste is tart and creamy with notes of the berries from the nose along with some youghurt. Very refreshing.

Mouthfeel is medium, creamy and well carbonated.

Overall, a nice, refreshing Berliner.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, no can dating. Pours moderately hazy dark ruby red/pink/purple color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy pink head with solid retention, that reduces to a minimal spotty lace cap that lingers. Minimal spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of huge juicy/sour/tart/tangy blackberry, black currant, fruit skin/seed, plum, lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, apricot, red/green apple, red grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, and biscuit dough; with lighter notes of peppercorn, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of blackberry, black currant, fruity/acidic yeast, and moderate pale/wheat malt notes; with big strength. Taste of huge juicy/sour/tart/tangy blackberry, black currant, fruit skin/seed, plum, lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, apricot, red/green apple, red grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, and biscuit dough; with lighter notes of peppercorn, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tart/sourness, fruit tang, and light spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of sour/tart/tangy blackberry, black currant, fruit skin/seed, plum, lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, apricot, red/green apple, red grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, light pepper/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of blackberry, black currant, fruity/acidic yeast, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; with a great malt/tart/sourness, and tangy fruit balance; with minimal puckering flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering tart/sourness, tangy fruit, and carbonation. Medium-plus carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/grainy, and acidic/tangy/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4%. Overall this is a fantastic fruited Berliner weiss! All around fantastic omplexity, robustness, and balance of blackberry, black currant, fruity/acidic yeast, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth and fairly crisp/refreshing to drink with the modestly acidic/tangy/tannic/drying finish; not overly lactic. very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Amazing balance between hugely juicy/jammy fruit and Lacto complexity; with a nice pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity. Minimal residual sweetness from crisp acidic/tangy dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazing style example.

Appearance - pours deep blood red with a thin light pink head that settles to a thin ring. No lacing.

Aroma - Ton of blackberry and the black currents give a great earthy aroma. They both work so well together to give a sweet wine slightly tart aroma.

Taste - Perfectly balanced black currents and blackberry give this an almost mead like taste and feel. Hit of salt great earthy flavor.

Feel - Medium bodied nice carbonation slightly dry finish.

Overall - Really well done great flavors and aroma really drinks like a tart mead.

Pours a vibrant purple with a decent fizzy head. Smell is strong dark tart fruit with a hint of diacetyl. Flavor is tart bitter berry without being super sweet or fruity- the base beer comes through. Sadly so does the diacetyl from the nose. Just buttery enough to be offputting. I hope the other cans yield a better experience.
