The look was a deep cloudy orange. The smell was a lot of citrus. Lots of mango. Some orange and grapefruit with a grassy taste gave it a nice depth of flavor. It had a nice dry finish.

Pours somewhat clouded, golden with a tinge of orange. Mild citrus, dried papaya, blueberry, candied grapefruit, lemongrass, and pomelo. Very light ginger and pine notes on the finish. Not particularly bitter, despite the specific citrus fruit flavors. Enjoyable, but not standing out from a number of other Transient offerings.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a one pint can on August 11, 2019. Double IPA brewed with Citra and Enigma hops. Look is hazy gold. Feel is light to medium in body.

8/10/19 (Chicago): 16 oz can with no canned date purchased for $5.01 8/3/19 at Beer on the Wall, poured into pint glass. Golden orange murky pour, creamy white head leaves ample soapy lacing. Light sweet citrus aroma. Nice rich taste, creamy citrus and tangerine fruit backed by strong bitter pine hops. Grassy tangy mouthfeel, sweetness dominated by dry bitter hops, bitter aftertaste. Carbonation holds well, thin slightly oily texture. Overall excellent offering!

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned in 7/2019. Pours a very heazy deep golden amber/light orange color with a 1 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, blueberry, gooseberry, raspberry, currants, red grape/wine, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt notes; with big strength. Taste of huge tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, blueberry, gooseberry, raspberry, currants, red grape/wine, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Mild pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, blueberry, gooseberry, raspberry, currants, red grape/wine, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; with and awesome malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready/grainy, and fairly sticky/resinous/rindy mouthfeel that is fantastic. Minimal warming alcohol for 8%. Overall this is a fantastic NEDIPA. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV, with the mildly bitter/resin/drying finish; fantastic soft feel and not aggressive. Amazing Citra/Enigma profile. Extremely juicy and fairly dank/earthy hops; with a nice sized wheat/oat/malt backbone. Mild residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and outstanding style example as expected. Very unique hop profile from Enigma.

Transient is killing the NEIPA game recently. DDH DIPA with citra and enigma. Pretty dark orange in the glass, one finger head recedes quickly, nice lacing. Smell is fresh citrus, sweet candy, grassy dankness, taste is similar - nicely balanced dank earthy hop bitterness against a lemon/lime/grapefruit subtle sweetness. Nice and crisp and dry, very drinkable for 8%. Another winner.
