Full Turbo (Batch 2)
Transient Artisan Ales

 

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a one pint can on August 6, 2019. Brewed with the same grain bill as batch one. Hopped with Idaho 7, Zappa and Southern Passion. Nice haze.

8/10/19 (Chicago): $5.50 16 oz can without canning date purchased at Beer on the Wall 8/3, poured into pint glass. Golden orange, murky, bright white head leaves generous lacing. Faint sweet tropical aroma. Nice firm dry bitter pine taste, offset slightly by tangerine and citrus, though bitterness wins hands down, a bit too bitter even for this style. Bone dry mouthfeel, thin body, carbonation holds, bitter aftertaste. Overall OK, very strong (the ABV sneaks up on you), but one dimensional.

 

 

 

Good DIPA, think I preferred Batch 1. A pale orange/yellow in the glass, dank, vaguely tropical nose. Tasty, nice citrus, dank bitter hops, some white wine grape, melon rind. Nice and drinkable for 8%, dry finish, nice.
