Poured deep black with a brown head that dissipated and left no lacing. Looks good.
The taste features vanilla, bourbon, chocolate and coffee. It’s all working together well.
The feel is slightly viscous, just enough to carry the flavors.
OA, seriously good beer. One of my favorites from Transient.

Pours a black color with a minimal head that lasts quite a while. Aroma is sweet vanilla and chocolate with a strong alcohol base. Taste is sweet with a good alcohol warmth. Smooth and creamy.

Dark bottle, dark label, dark beer inside. If it weren’t for the fluorescents I wouldn’t have even seen it. 500ML bottle. Pretty sure. It’s gone again.
Black, as mentioned. Nose brings strong 4 Musketeers bar, hefty bourbon, & a sinkhole of malts.
Kamigoye is warming on a cool spring evening. As goes the nose so the mouth: tons of dirty chocolate laced liberally with low-end bourbon (I know it’s not, but that’s what emerges). And then my wife handed me a glass of clase azul & destroyed my palate. Thick, though, from what I recall.
Throwback. Very good, direct to the heart beer.

Pours pitch black, thick, but not a glug glug pour like some can be. Quick soda like fizzing and disappearing head. Little islands of bubbles linger on the edge of the glass.
The nose is bourbon then some chocolatey char notes; ending with a sweet vanilla note.
The taste is chocolate syrup char and smooth vanilla ice cream on the back end. The vanilla is very well done and noticeable but not crazy overpowering. It almost lends just a sweet creamy taste without blacking out everything else. The bourbon is also noticeable but in no way overpowering. This is a well balanced bourbon beer.
The body is big but not overly thick which I very much appreciate in a beer like this. It has a prickly carbonation and an almost lingering interesting oh so subtle acidity to it. Roasty char like bitter note on the back end. Booze in the form of a slowly warming throat.
A great beer to close out the weekend. My favorite part is that this beer is quite balanced, not in your face, not overly thick or overly adjuncted either. Thank you for sharing Mike. Cheers.

Next up is Kamjgoye, one of my favorite beers from Transient. It is a bourbon BA stout that taps into the simplicity of whiskey and beer. It has a bit of leather to it, a burst of caramel, and just that kiss of a good old fashioned whiskey barrel. There are no additions here so you really get to tap into that marriage of beer and spirit.

Pours black with leakage to mahogany on the edges and sports a dark tan head. The nose is stone fruit, cocoa, and a nice oaky barrel aroma.
The cocoa is forward on the taste, with the stone fruit mid-palate and the barrel sitting at the back of the palate with a nice, moderately boozy finish. If the mouthfeel was a bit more substantial, this would be world class, IMHO.
