Pours jet black with a medium sized dark head on top. Has a sweet espresso smell. Thick sweet molasses, dark fruit and a light roasted malt on the finish.

Pours an inky black and swallows all light in its path as the body supports a mocha colored head that has staying power. Gorgeous BA impy stout.
The nose leaf with a surprising amount of booze and quickly follows with sweet maple, rich milk chocolate, and caramel, and there’s a nice bit of spicy rye as well.
The booze resides at the back of the palate on the taste, with the rich chocolate, maple, and caramel providing a decadent foothold for the spicy rye to coast into the creamy, full finish.
This is 4 years old and still drinking magnificently, a credit to Transient and their prowess in this style.

Easter Kille and Blis breakfast rye barrels
On tap. Tan head. Black color.
Tastes like there is some maple here. The salted caramel is subtle but nice. The cocoa nibs show all throughout. Lots of chocolate. Barrels are rye forward with a nice spice. Some caramel, vanilla, and oak. Very warming, very smooth. Not super thick, but full bodied. Ends with an awesome whiskey finish. I dig this one.

Shimmering black body with a tan ring. Aromas of maple and caramel bathed in rye whiskey, chocolate fudge, oak, and vanilla. Taste has the same elements plus some light char with the barrels, but here the rye whiskey leads into the dark tones, before the sweet elements, especially the caramel, elevates out of the depths for the boozy finish. Feel is warm with booze but sneaky rugged too, helps cut the brightening sweetness, decently smooth yet chewy.

Dec 2020 Review
500ml bottle purchased at Livonia Fine Wines. Poured into tumbler at Crystal Mountain, apres ski. Aged in Eastern Kille rye barrels.
Pour: black as black can be. Very thin deep tan head, no clouds or lacing. Looked like coca-cola goin in, complete with the fizz. 3.0
Nose: caramel, chocolate, vanilla, oak, bourbon, sweet malt. 3.75
Taste: follows the nose plus rye spice, stone fruit, cola. Complex and super balanced. Not that I could note the Eastern Kille barrel versus any other, I was excited to try this. Definitely a desert beer but not cloying or overkill in any dimension. 4.5
Feel: full but not a milkshake. Smooth, too easy drinking considering the ABV. 3.75
Overall: can’t say it a outstanding other than the taste. Absolutely great in that respect and right up my alley, so...4.25 but feels like a 4.5.
