Midnight black appearance, no head. Get the maple, graham cracker, cinnamon and vanilla in a huge way to start the nose, booze and chocolate support. Amazing nose. Tastes more like cinnamon toast crunch in a stout, light wood, booze and a kiss of roasted malt cut the sweetness just enough. Feel is bright for style, with considerable sweetness, but considering maple and cake are in the name that is not surprising. Smooth and cumulatively warm, cinnamon cuts in a good way

I’m always afraid that the pastry stouts are going to be too sweet but they hit the mark on this one. Wonderful balance on the cinnamon and maple in particular as those ingredients can be overdone easily. Super sticky and full mouthfeel. So glad I have another one of these.
