Absolutely no head, no matter how hard you pour. Body is a reddish brown.
Sharp and musty on the nose; smells like an old wardrobe in a dusty abandoned castle room. Vinegar, oak, leather, cherries, berries.
Exceptionally sour on the palate - and delicious. Berry notes are washed into the overall vinegar-like sourness. Strong tannins and oak. Difficult to pick out blackberries and cranberries, although I'm sure they add to the overall sourness. Cherries are a bit more complementary to the Flanders-like sour and malt base. Strong pucker, shrinking your gums long after the sip.

Pours a dark cranberry with close to zero carbonation.....about as close to flat as you can get. Aroma is church wine, berries & a nice sour smell. Taste is really interesting. Cherries & cranberries, with an underlying smoky oak flavor that makes for a really interesting combination. Zero carbonation. Taste lingers for quite some time, in a good way. This is a really interesting beer.
