Pours a pure onyx black with a sudsy mocha colored head that lingers a bit with some sizzle. Gorgeous BA imperial stout.

The nose is led by the rye whiskey barrels, a spicy, boozy note that is accompanied by a nice bit of vanilla and maple and some roasty coffee.

The taste features the rye whiskey barrels, both up front with a bit of spice and at the back of the palate as a warming note that’s preceded by some coffee and a decadent mix of vanilla and maple syrup. Wow.

The mouthfeel is rich and creamy, a true delight to drink. Transient crushed this.

Pours black, head dissipates to a tan ring. Lots of coffee on the nose, some bourbon too. Taste is tons of maple up front, maybe some vanilla along with the coffee. As it warms I'm more confident in vanilla and guessing some chocolate and caramel too. Mouthfeel is a nice thickness to support the big flavors without being too batter-y.

Good head production and retention for the style and ABV.

Strong whiskey on the nose, along with maple syrup, vanilla, coconut, and coffee - lots of coffee. Fair amount of booze.

Similar presentation on the palate: lots of coffee, sweet maple syrup, some booze, lots of rye whiskey. Red grapes, chocolate, vanilla, molasses, bits of toast. Warming back end heat in the chest and throat.

Smooth, sticky, very easy to drink.

This is a boozy, sweet, wonderful flavored barrel aged stout, really focused on the coffee. An absolute home run.
