Damn tasty! Breakfast Sauce #2 is a solid pick up!
Try it close to room temp for the best experience.

Breakfast Sauce #2 taps into hazelnut, vanilla, and coffee. The vanilla is at the forefront and it has a cream finish. Resembles a velvety, hazelnut macchiato. The rye barrel is perfect because it cuts through the sweetness and makes it much easier to continue on.

Pours onyx black with a dark tan head. Beautiful imperial stout. There’s a LOT going on with this beer (imperial oatmeal stout with vanilla, Tugboat coffee, and hazelnut aged in Parker Heritage Rye Whiskey and Blissful Bourbon Maple Syrup barrels), with a lot to sort through.
The barrels are very present, with boozy oak notes on the nose. There’s also a lot of vanilla, and some milk chocolate and char.
The key to this beer, as is true with these big barrel-aged stouts, is to let it warm, because as it does, the barrels are a little less forceful, and the chocolate, vanilla, maple, and especially the hazelnut come forward.
This is a fun flavor ride. Transient’s big stout game is on point, IMHO.
