500 ml bottle into a snifter. Had 2/12/23.
Pours an opaque dark brown, with a half inch quickly dissipating foamy head and light foamy lacing. Aromas of coffee, vanilla, malt, chocolate, cocoa. Flavors of coffee, vanilla, malt, light chocolate. Smooth, a little creamy, a very good full body, appropriately carbonated.
Strong coffee, especially for two years in. The vanilla also stands out on top of a solid base. Very good.

This year's NN is simpler than years past but still very well done. The coffee, chocolate and vanilla combo shines through in both smell and taste. Accenting malt, slight smoke, caramel and booze kisses in taste, smell is mostly malt with the starring trio. Not much complexity but all thought out, as seen in the feel with great malt definition and cool smoothness. Even the black body and brown cap is classic.
