Looks like a glass of grapefruit juice in my glass with a dense oatmeal colored head that provides ample lacing. The nose is led by dank citrus notes and that almost oniony/garlicky aroma associated with Simcoe hops. I happen to love that aroma, so this is right up my alley. There’s also a pine note, so I’m in beer nerd DIPA heaven.
The taste is really dank, with grapefruit and ripe orange flavors mixing with that herbal oniony/garlicky flavor exceptionally well, and accompthe bitter pine flavors. This is absolutely delicious, IMHO.
The mouthfeel is medium and pillowy, per the NE-style, which this beer fits in, and is nicely bitter. I’m a Transient fanboy, and this beer is a prime example why that is the case.
