Good head production and OK retention. Very nice lacing. Body is quite hazy and allows only silhouettes in thin portions of the glass; in thicker portions, it's opaque, but not pulpy.
At the risk of revealing a spoiler, the nose is *gasp* hoppy! Fairly indistinct, with a vague blend of citrus and tropical fruit along with a light dose of honey and cracker.
Super creamy and smooth on the palate, with plenty of sting up front. Quite simply a phenomenal mouthfeel.
If the flavor can't quite live up to the feel, that's no slight or indictment; this is definitely a tasty IIPA. Emphasis is on tropical tones, including melon, mango, pineapple, and passion fruit. There's a very light dankness, a strong floral aspect, a touch of pine, light honey, and very little citrus.
