A - Pours pitch black with a one finger tan head. The head fades to a thing ring leaving some light soapy lacing.
S - Aroma is coffee, maple and charred oak.
T - The taste is milk chocolate, coffee, maple, vanilla, charred oak and light whisky heat.
M - Medium body with medium carbonation. Creamy mouthfeel with slick dry finish.
O - Solid. Nice amount of barrel without masking the flavors of the base beer.

Pours an oily black with a quickly dissipating mocha head. Nose is smoky barrel, light maple, vanilla, and char. Taste follows suit. A little too much char. Soy sauce taste is off putting. Maple takes a back seat to an overwhelming base stout. Okay beer, wouldn’t want again.

Pitch black pour with a khaki head. Aromas of charred wood, maple, and dark chocolate with whiskey, slight peat and leather emerge overtime. Taste has a delicious balance of sweet chocolate, vanilla, molasses, big fig, and sneaky big maple note, against the rugged char, dark wood, whiskey, earth, and anise. Maple, wood and char together just linger for awhile, wonderful. Feel is well balanced as there is sweetness and char but neither dominate, wood and booze with robust yet smooth malt round out, but slightly thinner than expected. This one surprised me, best transient stout in a while, not overly complex but they absolutely nailed the vision of this beer, bravo

Pours black with mahogany brown on the edges and a thick, creamy dark tan head that hangs around. Gorgeous beer. The nose has maple, milk chocolate, maple, some char, maple, stone fruit, a bit of booze - and did I mention maple?
There’s a LOT of maple on the nose, which fortunately didn’t translate to the taste - there’s definitely maple, and it’s definitely sweet, but there enough milk chocolate, char (crucial!), stone fruit, and booze (crucialer!) to provide balance and especially depth to this big (14.5% ABV) stout.
The mouthfeel is rich and creamy, on point for the style. Transient has a world class impy stout game, and this is another example of their prowess, IMHO.

Look - Black thick syrup. But... I love the art work on the bottle, fantastic!!!
Smell - sweet maple and barrel
Taste - about the same and sweet
Feel - medium body and carb
Overall - wish it was a little less sweet and had more body, still great though
